In a positive move for both Ripple and the industry at large, the company has announced its Senior Vice President of Business and Corporate Development, Kashina Van Dyke. Her vast and illustrious career so far is extremely impressive, adding experience and know-how to this top role.
Van Dyke first started her career as the Membership Sales & Business Relationship Manager for the Business Council in New York, in a role that saw her leave college to take on the job. After attaining three years in that role, she moved to Time Inc. where she became the company’s Manager and Buyer. From then on, Van Dyke’s career really hit the big-time working for Citibank over the next nine years in a variety of positions in the UK, US and even in mainland Europe in the Czech Republic and Germany.
Joining MasterCard in 2009, where she was made a board member, she quickly took to her role as Global Manager and SVP. She worked mainly in the UK and Dubai before moving back to the US to take on a top job as the Global Director of Financial Services and Payments Partnerships at Facebook.

The company has also added more to its leadership team by appointing a new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), David Schwartz, who was formally the Chief Cryptographer at Ripple.
The move to promote Schwartz from within was popular with the company. Schwartz formally ran his own company, David Schwartz Enterprises, in the two years before graduating from the University of Houston. He then went on to work as a software developer for the world-famous real estate firm, Remax. He then went onto co-found a company called Cardiophonics, which manufactured a non-invasive medical device that was able to track the severity of heart murmurs.
Schwartz has held a number of top positions such as Senior Network Engineer, Director of Network Services and Director of Software Development at WebMaster Incorporated. He was then propelled into the Chief Technical Officer role at WebMaster, which he kept for over a decade before moving to Ripple.
