In an attempt to ‘bring cryptocurrency to the masses,’ Payroc and Ethos, two leading names in payment processing and cryptocurrency services, are to form an official partnership. The companies will form a cryptocurrency alliance to create a ‘best-in-class’ digital currency merchant payment processing service.
Known as the Ethos Bedrock platform, the service will be integrated with Payroc’s payment gateway platform. By using a ‘Pay with Crypto’ button, which will be available on merchant websites, consumers will have the option of making payments in cryptocurrency, as well as traditional forms of payment.
Payroc, the merchant services, and payment processing organization announced its partnership with Ethos.io, the people-powered blockchain platform, last week during the Digital Currency Con event in Park City, Utah.
Jared Poulson, chief integrations officer for Payroc, spoke enthusiastically about the partnership, commenting:
“We’re excited about partnering with Ethos as it brings together the traditional payments world Payroc operates in with new digital currencies.”
“Our merchants will be able to accept payments via traditional credit cards, ACH, PayPal and now popular cryptocurrencies. We have been tracking Ethos for quite some time. Their commitment and vision of bringing the benefits of blockchain technology to the mass market aligns with Payroc’s culture of innovation, trust and stability,” Poulson added.
Direct crypto wallet payments
Consumers will be able to make payments in a range of cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin, ether, bitcoin cash, and the Ethos token, which is essential to the Ethos platform, enabling anyone to securely manage their cryptocurrency wallets, keys, and coins. By abstracting blockchains, the Ethos Bedrock platform can also support other cryptocurrencies, including litecoin and ripple.
Asides allowing consumers to make instant payments directly from their crypto wallets, merchants participating in the Ethos Bedrock platform will benefit from incontrovertible transactions, which come with no chargeback risks.
Ethos.io’s chief executive officer, Shingo Lavine, shares Jared Poulson and Payroc’s enthusiasm towards to alliance, stating:
“Payroc is a stable, trusted and visionary partner. Ethos is dedicated to bringing cryptocurrency to the masses, and partners such as Payroc are an integral part of our delivery.”
